Sunday Morning Worship: Love the Hell Out of the World

  • Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 United States (map)

Universalism is, clearly, an important part of the Unitarian Universalist faith tradition. We’re proud of our heritage of heresy. But, what does “universalism” mean? Interim Minister Rev. Lisa Romantum Schwartz will consider what relevance the concept has for the world today, and what it might look like to recast this ancient theological idea.

Join us in person or on Zoom at 10 a.m. for our October Worship Series: Wells We Did Not Dig. Today's sermon title is, "Love the Hell Out of the World."

To participate in worship on Zoom, please register here https://zoom.us/.../tJArf-CvrT4iHtIsgktTYAWotY75rmxi5V78. If you've already registered (a one-time process), use the link you received via email to attend worship.

There is no Youth Faith Formation hour this Sunday. Instead, please join us to learn about Chalica. We will be offering information and crafts about this upcoming holiday outside by the playground (weather permitting) or inside the Social Hall immediately after service. We encourage all ages to attend together as a family. There still will be nursery services for both hours.

Youth and Adult Faith Formation classes take place Sunday mornings from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15. p.m. To find out more about our classes, visit our website: http://www.oruuc.org/religious-education and http://www.oruuc.org/faith-formation-for-adults.

Please note: Masks will NOT be required in the building this week, but we encourage everyone to do what makes them feel comfortable. (If Covid-19 Community Levels for Anderson or surrounding counties are High, masks will be required.)

All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you!
