Sunday Morning Worship: Chop Down the Giving Tree

  • Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 United States (map)

We can view the Shel Silverstein story, "The Giving Tree," as an ecological fable that ends badly for both humanity and the planet. Our Seventh Principle calls on us to work together in a spirit of generosity, in order to preserve the earth for future generations.

Join us in person or on Zoom at 10 a.m. for worship. Our November Worship Series is "Living into Gratitude." This week’s theme is, “Chop Down the Giving Tree.” Interim Minister Rev. Lisa Romantum Schwartz will lead worship.

To participate in worship on Zoom, please register here https://zoom.us/.../tJArf-CvrT4iHtIsgktTYAWotY75rmxi5V78. If you've already registered (a one-time process), use the link you received via email to attend worship.

Adult and Youth Faith Formation classes take place from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15. p.m. To find out more about our classes, visit our website: http://www.oruuc.org/religious-education and http://www.oruuc.org/faith-formation-for-adults.
