Sunday Morning Worship: Forgiveness? Not So Fast.

  • Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 United States (map)

We're told that forgiveness offers a path to new beginnings. Sometimes we are told we need to forgive past wrongs in order to heal and “move on.” However, maybe it’s wiser, in the long run, to put the brakes on the process of forgiveness. Interim Minister Rev. Lisa Romantum Schwartz will unpack some of the ideas.

Join us this Sunday morning as we kick off our April worship series: "The Promise of New Beginnings." Worship begins at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom. To participate in worship on Zoom, please register here https://zoom.us/.../tJArf-CvrT4iHtIsgktTYAWotY75rmxi5V78.... If you've already registered (a one-time process), use the link you received via email to attend worship.

After worship, join us for coffee and treats in the Social Hall, and check out our Faith Formation classes for Adults and Youth from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The Reflections group hosts a conversation on the sermon topic every Sunday during the Faith Formation Hour in the conference room. All are welcome to join in. Nursery is available during that time.

Please note: Masks will NOT be required in the building this week, but we encourage everyone to do what makes them feel comfortable. (If Covid-19 Community Levels for Anderson or surrounding counties are High, masks will be required.)

All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you!
