Can you babysit your own kid, or is that just called … parenting? Think about the distinction for a minute. Many ORUUC members and friends say that this church is where we’ve (finally) found our people, our family. We have a deep sense of ownership in OUR church. So, can you “volunteer” for your church home, your family, or is service in a place like ORUUC a reflection of a deeper engagement, a more passionate commitment? Interim Minister Rev. Lisa Romantum Schwartz will discuss the question. Worship is followed by a Reignite event to spark the fire of your commitment – lunch (finger foods) is provided!
Join us Sunday morning for our August worship series: "Discernment." Worship begins at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom. To participate in worship on Zoom, please register here https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJArf-CvrT4iHtIsgktTYAWotY75rmxi5V78#/registration. If you've already registered (a one-time process), use the link you received via email to attend worship.
After worship, join us for the Reignite Fair in the Social Hall! Wondering how you can get involved at ORUUC? Looking for your group or activity? Or maybe you’d like to try something new? This is your chance! Stay after worship to participate in a scavenger hunt during Faith Formation hour—pick up a map and visit various organizations around the Social Hall. There will be a drawing for a prize for most tables visited, and for the best decorated table! Finger foods will served. Reignite your spark and the fire of your commitment!
Covid-19 Update: Masks are not required in the building. We encourage everyone to do what makes them feel comfortable.
All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you!
