Sunday Morning Worship: Someone to Stand

  • Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 United States (map)

One of the most ancient exhortations about living a moral life commands us to care for the poor and the immigrant. Does prophetic wisdom have relevance for our church today? Our guest speaker on this Martin Luther King Sunday is the Rev. Chris Battle of Battlefield Farms in Knoxville. Rev. Battle has spent much of his ministry addressing food deserts.

Join us Sunday morning for our January worship series: "Liberating Love." Worship begins at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom. To participate in worship on Zoom, please register herehttps://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJArf-CvrT4iHtIsgktTYAWotY75rmxi5V78#/registration. If you've already registered (a one-time process), use the link you received via email to attend worship.

After worship, all are invited to stay coffee and conversation in the Social Hall. Faith Formation classes take place from 11:15 to 12:15. Check out Faith Formation opportunities for adults here: http://www.oruuc.org/faith-formation-for-adults, and children and youth here: http://www.oruuc.org/religious-education.
