Sunday Morning Worship: If You See a Good Fight, Get In It

  • Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 United States (map)

The title is a quote by the Rev. Dr. Vernon Johns, a pioneer in the American Civil Rights movement. And, like all pioneers (especially the feisty ones), he faced immense hardships and intense headwinds. But Dr. Johns’ story has resonance today, especially for a church in search of a new pastor. Rev. Lisa Romantum Schwartz, ORUUC’s interim minister, tells his story.

Join us Sunday morning for our February worship series: "Justice and Equity." Worship begins at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom. To participate in worship on Zoom, please register herehttps://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJArf-CvrT4iHtIsgktTYAWotY75rmxi5V78#/registration. If you've already registered (a one-time process), use the link you received via email to attend worship.

After worship, all are invited to stay coffee and conversation in the Social Hall. Faith Formation classes take place from 11:15 to 12:15.
