Sunday Morning Worship: Food Faith (Bread Communion)

  • Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 United States (map)

This Sunday, join us for our November worship series, Repair. Our minister, Lóre Stevens, will lead worship with a sermon titled, “Food Faith.” Special music will be provided by ORUUC’s own Liz McGeachy and Tim Marema.

Sometimes, the desire to improve the world can feel overwhelming, amid all the concerns of our lives. But food, which we all think about every day, can be a great starting point to personal and social change.

Worship begins at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom. For those attending worship by Zoom, please install the Zoom app on your device and use Zoom Worship Service Meeting ID: 946 8973 5846.

Our Split-the-Plate offering recipient for the month of November will go to our Stone Soup community ministry, a monthly free meal ORUUC hosts, in partnership with the Jewish Congregation of Oak Ridge and Kroger Marketplace. Please GIVE HERE as you are willing and able, or text “ORUUC” to 73256.

After worship, join us for coffee and conversation in the Social Hall. Youth and Adult Faith Formation classes will meet from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The nursery will be available during worship and the Faith Formation hour. Check out our regular Faith Formation opportunities for adults here: http://www.oruuc.org/faith-formation-for-adults and children and youth here: http://www.oruuc.org/religious-education.

Covid-19 Update: Masks are not required in the building; whether joining us for worship in person or on Zoom, we encourage everyone to do what makes them feel comfortable.

All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you!
