This Sunday, join us for our January worship series, Story. Our minister, Lóre Stevens, will share a sermon entitled, “Your Spiritual Story.”
From the faiths we were introduced to in childhood to the questioning of adolescence, to the spiritual deepening as adults, we have each been on a spiritual journey throughout our lives. Let us consider the value of our spiritual autobiographies to guide us into our future.
Worship begins at 10 a.m. on Zoom only due to wintry weather conditions. Please note there is a new Zoom link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/89079582989. Another option is to install the Zoom app on your device and choose, “Join Meeting” then enter Meeting ID: 890 7958 2989.
Our Split-the-Plate offering recipient for the month of January is the Tennessee Citizens for Wilderness Planning. TCWP achieves and perpetuates protection of natural lands and waters through public ownership, legislation, or cooperation of the private sector. TCWP's strength lies in researching information pertinent to an issue, informing and educating our membership and the public, interacting with groups having similar objectives, and working through the legislative, administrative, and judicial branches of government. The organization partners with Advocates for the Oak Ridge Reservation, Emory River Watershed Association, UT Arboretum Society, The Nature Conservancy, Tennessee Parks and Greenways Foundation, the Oak Ridge League of Women Voters, and others. TCWP believes that working together with the community is an important means to protect wild lands and waters. For more information, visit https://tcwp.org/. Please GIVE HERE as you are willing and able, or text “ORUUC” to 73256.
Due to this weekend’s winter storm, the church campus will be closed today; all classes and activities are canceled. Stay safe and warm!
