Sunday Morning Worship: Trust the Process

  • Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 United States (map)

This Sunday, join us in person or on Zoom for our March worship series, Trust, and our sermon entitled, “Trust the Process.”

Zentangle is a meditative drawing method using simple, repetitive pen strokes to form beautiful patterns. It has caught on all over the world because it’s much more than drawing; its process is a metaphor for life! Open your heart and mind and let the ORUUC Zentangle group guide you through this special service on the gifts of creativity, gratitude, and learning to trust the process.

Worship begins at 10 a.m. To join by Zoom, visit  https://us06web.zoom.us/j/89079582989. Another option is to install the Zoom app on your device and choose, “Join Meeting,” then enter Meeting ID: 890 7958 2989.

The Split-the-Plate recipient for the month of March is Aid to Distressed Families of Appalachian Counties (ADFAC). ADFAC began in the mid 1980’s as a local ecumenical effort to provide assistance to impoverished families. As the broad needs of the low-income community became evident, the faith-based collaborative moved to become a 501(c)(3) public charity in January, 1987. Over the years, ADFAC has honored its roots developing a broad variety of programs designed to meet unfilled needs in the community and currently answers over 6,000 requests for assistance each year. ADFAC is the prime and preeminent social service agency in Oak Ridge and surrounding counties. Not only does ADFAC provide direct services to our needy community, it is also the clearing house for most other local social service agencies and churches. For more information, visit http://www.adfac.org. Please visit https://onrealm.org/oruuc/-/form/give/now to give as you are willing and able, or text “ORUUC” to 73256.

After the service, you're invited to join in coffee and conversation in the Social Hall. Youth and Adult Faith Formation classes take place from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Check out our regular Faith Formation opportunities for adults here: http://www.oruuc.org/faith-formation-for-adults and children and youth here: http://www.oruuc.org/religious-education. The nursery is available during worship and second hour.

All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you!
