Sunday Morning Worship: Journey through the Wilderness

  • Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 United States (map)

The sages say, "people who don't understand their past are doomed to repeat it." On this first Sunday of Black History Month, Interim Minister Rev. Lisa Romantum Schwartz will tell the story of the White Entitlement Controversy (a.k.a. the Black Empowerment Controversy) and see if there are some lessons in that history that can inform our lives and our faith today.

Join us this Sunday morning for our new worship series, "Centered in Love." Worship begins at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom.

To participate in worship on Zoom, please register here https://zoom.us/.../tJArf-CvrT4iHtIsgktTYAWotY75rmxi5V78. If you've already registered (a one-time process), use the link you received via email to attend worship.

After worship, check out our classes for Youth and Adults during Faith Formation Hour from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Nursery is also available during that time.

Please note: Masks will NOT be required in the building this week, but we encourage everyone to do what makes them feel comfortable. (If Covid-19 Community Levels for Anderson or surrounding counties are High, masks will be required.)

All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you!
