This Sunday, join us for our December worship series, Presence, and our 22nd Annual No Rehearse Pageant, ORUUC’s take on the traditional Christmas story, with an impromptu cast of audience volunteers filling roles from Wise Men to dragons, storytelling and carols.
Worship begins at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom. For those attending worship by Zoom, please install the Zoom app on your device and use Zoom Worship Service Meeting ID: 946 8973 5846.
Our Split-the-Plate offering recipient for the month of December will go to the Free Medical Clinic. This non-profit organization offers free medical services to those who live in Anderson, Roane, and Morgan Counties, serving people who do not have insurance and cannot afford to pay for medical services due to their income level. Because it is a primarily volunteer organization, it relies on donations from individuals, churches, and community groups. This clinic provides medical care to those who have no other resources–it can literally mean the difference between life and death for some people. We all deserve adequate health care and to be treated with worth and dignity. Please GIVE HERE as you are willing and able, or text “ORUUC” to 73256.
After worship, please stay for cookies and coffee in the Social Hall. All Youth Faith Formation classes, including OWL, are taking a break for the holidays. Classes will resume January 5. For Adult Faith Formation, if you’re an member of a Circle of Trust, check with your Circle leader to find out if you’re meeting over the holiday break. The nursery will be available during worship. Check out our regular Faith Formation opportunities for adults here: http://www.oruuc.org/faith-formation-for-adults and children and youth here: http://www.oruuc.org/religious-education.
Covid-19 Update: Masks are not required in the building; whether joining us for worship in person or on Zoom, we encourage everyone to do what makes them feel comfortable.
All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you!
