ORUUC is committed to using our facility in a safe
and responsible manner.
May 2023 UPDATE: With the expiration of the Covid-19 national public health emergency on May 11, 2023, the CDC has ceased tracking community level transmission because it no longer receives the data needed to do so. Therefore, ORUUC ended its weekly Pandemic Action Levels (PALs) report. Masks are not required inside the building; however, they are available, along with hand sanitizer, at various locations throughout the church. We encourage you to do what makes you feel comfortable. If you have symptoms or have had a COVID exposure, we ask that you stay home and worship with us on Zoom. We appreciate your continued cooperation as we work to keep our community safe and healthy.
In May 2020, the Executive Team chartered the COVID-19 Task Force and tasked the group with creating a phased reopening plan for the church campus. In September 2020, the Executive Team approved the plan the Task Force presented, and used it as an operating framework for the next year.
By the fall of 2021, with rising vaccination rates, the emergence of variants, and updated science guidance, it was time for an update. In October 2021, the Task Force presented the Pandemic Action Levels (PALs) framework. This new, weekly risk level analysis, paired with recommended operating procedures for each risk level, continues to be what ORUUC follows as COVID-19 levels ebb and flow in our area.

Know Your COVID-19 Community Level (Updated by the CDC February 25, 2022)
COVID-19 Community Levels were a tool to help communities decide what prevention steps to take based on the latest data. Levels can be low, medium, or high and are determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area. Take precautions to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 based on the COVID-19 Community Level in your area. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html
